Description

Country living minutes from Rt. 66, Dulles Toll Road, Reston, Fair Oaks, Oakton, and Fairfax. Located in a very quiet cul-de-sac, this lot is virtually flat and almost a half acre in a very private setting. As you enter the home you will immediately notice the welcoming, open foyer with stunning hardwood floors throughout the main level. The foyer graciously opens to a fabulous living room/dining room with stunning windows overlooking the exterior patio and garden. The dining room is generous enough for large gatherings and the open flow between the dining room and living room is perfect for entertaining. The kitchen has tile flooring, Corian countertop and a breakfast area with a bay window overlooking the front yard. Beautiful windows throughout the home allow for plenty of light. The master bedroom suite offers a renovated master bathroom with a generous sized walk-in shower. The remaining two bedrooms are large and roomy. New carpet was recently installed to make this house move-in ready condition. The lower level is finished with an oversized Family room with hardwood flooring. A wood-burning stove in the fireplace adds to the coziness of this entertainment area. Gorgeous french doors opens on to a patio located in another area of the large backyard. Plenty of windows offer a natural sunlit environment for just relaxing. There is a fourth bedroom on this level that has plenty of space for an office or an au-pair/in-law suite. To complete the lower level there is also a beautiful full bathroom that has been recently renovated.

Oak Hill

Oak Hill was carved out of what was once Herndon as that community grew, running from the Dulles Toll Road to the north, Route 28 to the west and the edges of Reston and Oakton to the east.  Oak Hill includes Frying Pan Park and Frying Pan Meeting House, the latter of which is on the National Register of Historic Places.  The Meeting House was a Baptist congregation that was first chartered in 1791, one of the first racially integrated congregations.  While it isn’t regularly open to the public, private tours can be arranged.

Quality of Life:

Oak Hill is home to a big part of the economically vital Route 28 tech corridor, one of Virginia’s major employment centers. The housing stock is strictly suburban, with primarily single-family detached and townhomes.  Frying Pan Park and Horsepen Run Stream Valley Park offer great recreation facilities.

Getting Around:

With Dulles Airport as a neighbor, the world is at Oak Hill’s doorstep.  Route 28 is the major north/south corridor through Oak Hill.

Airports:

Ronald Reagan National Airport:  < 28 miles
Washington-Dulles International Airport:  < 3 miles
Baltimore-Washington International Airport:  < 56 miles
